This could have been prevented. Workers and the general population are now being exposed to chemicals that are known to cause cancer in animals, but industry will not act until it has proof in the form of human deaths. This is where science ends and politics begins. At what point in time do we ACT to prevent cancer? Of course, once proof begins to emerge in the form of bodies piling up, industry seeks to conceal the truth and hide behind statements such as "safety is the government's responsibility" in order to avoid litigation. Medical doctors who serve as expert witnesses on behalf of victims of environmental carcinogens in lawsuits against companies such as Dow Chemical, Monsanto and Union Carbide are being targeted for destruction by state medical boards. - Carter, pages 70-72. Legal fees of the medical boards are paid by the taxpayer. Legal fees which can total $500,000 or more bankrupt the physician who is attacked. Dr. Max Gerson, described by Nobel Laureate, Albert Schweitzer M.D., as a modern medical genius, was hounded to death by the orthodox medical establishment. The only legitimate function of the state medical boards is to prevent incompetent physicians from practicing medicine. "The numbing irony is that the same corporations that produce carcinogenic chemicals, including agricultural ones, are also running the cancer treatment industry and selling chemotherapy drugs. Why is this site necessary?
There is an international medical/pharmaceutical/petrochemical "cartel" or "consortium" that is controlling medical practice from above via the medical associations, disease organizations, and government organizations. The great wealth of these transnational companies has allowed them to purchase undue influence, and they have become a threat to the health of the population and even a threat to democracy itself. Like a cancer in the body politic, this international cartel is quietly growing ever more greedy and powerful. The present problems in medicine and agriculture are just a small part of the global influence of this cartel, which uses the governments of the world to further its ends, and the police power of the state to enforce its corporate interests. The successful suppression of effective prevention and treatments for cancer and the resulting millions of deaths make this cartel the deadliest criminal organization in the history of humankind. Our answer is to shine a light on its existence so that people everywhere can understand what is happening and defend themselves. Many people believe that if alternative treatments for cancer were any good they would hear about them from their doctor. This is simply not true.
If you would like more information on this subject, here is some recommended reading: Angell, Marcia, The Truth About Drug Companies, How They Deceive Us and What To Do About It, Angell, former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, presents a searing indictment of "big pharma" as corrupt and corrupting: of Congress, through huge campaign contributions; of the FDA, which is funded in part by the very companies it oversees; and, perhaps most shocking, of members of the medical profession and its institutions. Carter, M.D., Ph.D., James P., Racketeering in Medicine: The Suppression of Alternatives, Hampton Roads Publishing, VA, 1992/93. Professor Carter considers it his public duty to reveal the corruption at the very highest levels of organized medicine. He documents names, places and events. "Behind closed doors, Organized Med inflicts severe pressure on alternative practitioners to halt their methods. They are ostracized from their peers and endure frightening attacks alleging lack of ethics, fraud and other fabrications; even mental competence can be questioned. Alternative practitioners are falsely accused of exploiting their patients for money...Libeled and slandered as quacks/charlatans, they endure unwarranted attacks and trumped-up charges - not objective investigation...Negative peer review (judgment of colleagues through published criticism) is usually authored by doctors and researchers who know little, sometimes nothing at all, about the alternative methods they have been asked or directed to criticize. Sloppy or contrived research has, at times, been used to debunk an alternative therapy. This inaccurate peer review blocks alternatives from gaining approval as accepted medical practice...Most literature searches begin and end with the Index Medicus or its electronic counterpart, the Medline computer database...Few physicians and medical students know that only 10% of the world's total biomedical literature is located in those databases..." Dr. Carter leads the reader to the inescapable realization that we must become more aware of health-care practices and speak up for our right to the best available medical treatment.
Epstein, Dr. Samuel S., John Jr. Conyers, David R. Obey, The Politics of Cancer Revisited, East Ridge Press, 1998. In this 770 page book Dr. Epstein documents organized medicine's cronyism, conflicts of interest, and subservience to the giant drug companies. Due to poor outcomes from standard cancer treatments, Dr. Epstein emphasizes the importance of prevention of cancer and documents the American Cancer Society's refusal to lobby for any measures that will reduce the incidence of cancer or to spend funds on researching alternative treatments for cancer. Dr. Epstein shows how promising nontoxic alternative treatments have been excluded by this oligopoly of self-interested players, many of whom are supposed to be the guardians of the public health.
Griffin, G. Edward, World Without Cancer, American Media, Westlake Village, California, 1997. Both the book and video can be purchased directly from the author. In addition to telling the story of vitamin B17, this book takes a detailed look at the IG Farben industrial cartel that financed Hitler's rise to power, built and operated Auschwitz and other work/death camps, and the companies on both sides of the Atlantic who were/are cartel members. After World War II the cartel was ostensibly disbanded. The German cartel leaders received short prison sentences, and the German-owned cartel assets in the United States that had been seized during the war were purchased from the US government by American cartel members. The wartime chemical plants and expertise developed by cartel members are the origin of both chemical agriculture (that causes cancer) and pharmaceuticals / chemotherapy (that pretend to treat cancer and other diseases while creating a long list of side effects that require further treatment). The list of cartel members is a veritable "who's who" of famous corporate names on both sides of the Atlantic. This book shines the light of day on the ruthlessness and dark history of the cartel members who still pull the political strings and who have had an additional half century since WWII to build and consolidate their power. These are the people who profit from chemical agriculture and your cancer treatment. Dealing effectively with them is unfinished business left over from the second world war. "Government of the people, by the people and for the people" has become "government of the people, by the special interests and for the special interests." The American election system has been skillfully re-engineered so that huge sums of money are required by each congress person to win an election. This ensures that only those who represent wealthy individuals and corporations can afford to run for public office and makes every member of congress beholden to those who provide funds for election campaigns. By corrupting the election process in this manner, congress has sold out the American people and committed treason.
Moss, Ph.D., Ralph W., The Cancer Industry - The Classic Expose on the Cancer Establishment, Paragon House, NY, 1991. His war with the cancer establishment began when Dr. Moss witnessed first hand the research being done at Sloan-Kettering on vitamin B17, also known as laetrile. The scientists in the labs found vitamin B17 to be very effective, yet the research that was finally published disparaged vitamin B17 as useless. This so enraged Dr. Moss that he left Sloan-Kettering and documented the affair in his book. Wohl, M.D., Stanley, The Medical Industrial Complex, Harmony Books, NY, 1984. Dr. Wohl is one of the first doctors to reveal the corruption that modern medicine has become. Modern medical care is the third largest cause of death in the United States, and injures more than a million people each year. Genuine War Against Cancer The levers of corporate control extend through agricultural and medical colleges, various levels of government and government agencies, right up to and including the United Nations and its various agencies. As the corporations stitch together their "New World Order" this might not seem a bad thing except that these businesses are essentially amoral in their pursuit of profit, and examples like Auschwitz (see book by G. Edward Griffin above) clearly show the lengths to which they will go when they feel they can get away with it. Understanding the morality of the business interests behind the cancer epidemic is useful to understand why it is happening. If your child gets cancer and you prefer alternative treatments, social workers may be empowered to take your child by force so that the child can be subjected to standard medical treatments, despite the fact that the "doctors" administering this treatment cannot guarantee that the child will be cured of the cancer and will not be harmed by the treatment. When you express a preference for alternative medicine, the PREDATORY nature of conventional medicine clearly shows itself. Truly, prevention of cancer in your family is better than facing the snarling fangs of these wolves, and is a purpose of this web site. Corporate puppets such as "public health officers" (typically medical "doctors") do not hesitate to dump carcinogenic chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride into public drinking water, often without asking permission from the public being poisoned. These same public health officers will shut down a restaurant for uncleanness, while ignoring the foods lining grocery store shelves that are nutritionally useless and filled with cancer causing toxic chemicals and fats. There is no milk produced anywhere in America that does not contain pesticides. Corporations feel that your health (and lack of it) is their own private preserve for profit, as their minions in government agencies ban an ever lengthening list of health promoting herbs and food supplements, raid health food stores and send men with guns into the offices of medical doctors who dare to prescribe vitamins and minerals instead of toxic drugs.
