Seaweed - everyone should eat a little regularly.
Chia seeds contain all the essential amino acids, omega 3 oil, and 30 nutrients. Find ways to mix the seeds into every meal. Search the Internet for recipes.
Sprouts - contain far more nutrition than mature vegetation. The amino acid lysine is important to prevent cancer metastases yet it is "denatured" by heat. Eating raw bean sprouts provides lysine and many other nutrients.
Juices - concentrated nutrition.
Sunlight - the best source of vitamin D.
Avocado - Full of nutrients and helps the body absorb nutrients from other foods.
Medicinal mushrooms - Grow your own or buy them at your local grocery store or Chinese market. Look for Shiitake mushrooms, Maitake mushrooms, Reishi mushrooms, and Oyster mushrooms.

Cod liver oil - an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D and vitamin A. North American consumption of cod liver oil has fallen dramatically in recent decades. This is unfortunate. Everyone young and old would benefit from eating one tablespoon of cod liver oil daily. If mothers consumed this from the initial conception of the fetus, it would make a big difference to the future dental health of their child.
Turmeric - an ingredient in curry powder.
Fenugreek - an ingredient in curry powder.
Virgin coconut oil and palm kernel oil have many health benefits you can read about on the Internet. Eat some yourself and feed a small amount to your pets each day. Rub it on your skin for fungal infections.
Green drinks such as Green Magma, Barley Green, Greens+, wheat grass juice. Look for powdered juices of greens rather than powdered greens. The powdered juices contain more concentrated nutrition. Leafy greens should be a staple food in your diet.

Cilantro is a kind of parsley that many supermarkets sell. It helps remove mercury and other harmful metals from the body. Eat some cilantro every day.

Oatmeal - contains the most soluble fiber of any food. Stimulates the white blood cells known as macrophages and neutrophils that recognize and destroy cancer cells, viruses, etc.

Allium vegetables - red onions, scallions, garlic, chives, leeks.
Royal Jelly and propolis
Grapes - grapes are notorious for containing pesticides. Grow your own or buy organic grapes. The skins of red and green grapes are your best source of resveratrol.
Lecithin granules - lecithin is composed of choline and inositol that largely make up the sheath around each nerve. Lecithin helps clean cholesterol out of your arteries. Cholesterol becomes soluble in the presence of lecithin. Lecithin may also help prevent gallstones. Inositol is a treatment for depression. The best lecithin is probably organic sunflower lecithin.
Lugol's iodine 2 drops daily. Or potassium iodide. Or tincture of iodine - rub a little on your skin each day and your body will absorb what it needs. Iodoral is Lugol's iodine in tablet form.
Miso - source of vitamin b12 that nourishes the sheath that covers each nerve.
Cold-processed organic whey protein - good source of the amino acids lysine and proline that (together with vitamin C) are needed to keep your arteries from clogging. For easier digestion, some whey protein powders contain enzymes. If the whey protein is not "cold-processed" some of the proteins may be "de-natured" and are not effective. Lysine, which is needed to prevent cancer and heart disease, is deficient in most of the population due to the dependence on heated protein foods. Sprouts are another good source of unheated proteins. For problems with non-organic whey protein see "Say No Way! To Whey!". Other good protein supplements include chia seeds and protein from hemp.
Yoghurt and other sources of friendly intestinal bacteria such as kefir, fermented pickles and sauerkraut. Buy the pickles and sauerkraut in the refrigerated section of your supermarket, and keep them in your fridge. A product of fermentation is butyric acid (butyrate), a short chain fatty acid that stimulates beneficial bacterial growth, improves absorption of minerals and digestion of fats, and helps prevent inflammation. Butyric acid useful for Crohn's disease and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). A good source of butyric acid is Kombucha tea.
Brazil nuts - a good source of selenium. Eating one or two brazil nuts each day should be enough. Keep a basket containing a variety of nuts in the shell sitting in the dining room. Each day for a snack eat one or two of each kind of nut. Buy the nuts in season and store them in a cool place.
Sardines - If you want to eat fish, sardines contain an abundance of healthy oils and other nutrients, and few of the contaminants found in larger and longer lived species. In our experience, sardines from Portugal taste and smell much nicer.
Vitamin C foods - Many people have sub-clinical scurvy due to inadequate vitamin C intake. Foods high in vitamin C include red bell peppers, parsley, broccoli, cauliflower, fresh strawberries, citrus fruit (oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit), romaine lettuce, mustard greens, Brussels sprouts, papaya, kale, kiwifruit, cantaloupe, tomato, and cabbage. Nearly all fresh fruits and vegetables contain a little vitamin C.
The goal is to attain and maintain a state of nutrition saturation, in which your body has everything it needs and is no longer starving for some of its requirements. The most important nutrient is the one that is deficient in you.
One of the purposes of eating is to obtain energy for activity. From this point of view, the most important meal will be near the beginning of the day's activity and the least important meal will be near the end of the day's activity. Eating just before going to bed will be counter productive, because the activity of digestion will prevent deep rest during sleep, and all the energy from the food will be converted to fat.
A good breakfast highly recommended by Ayurvedic physicians is stewed apples. Here is our recipe. For each person, cut up one apple. Eat the seeds and put the chopped apple in a pot. Add one half cup water, one half teaspoon cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon cloves, and sweeten it with some organic raisins. Cover and cook on low heat while you meditate.
According to Ayurveda, your digestive power is maximum at noon, so this is when the main meal of the day should be eaten. To get maximum value out of your food, it is good to eat when your digestion is strong.
The Importance of Whole Food, All Natural Nutritional Supplements
Each of these dietary supplements and superfoods is from all natural sources, and their contents are not limited to the "known" and "officially sanctioned" nutrient requirements of the body. Every year the importance of more and more nutrients is recognized by science. In these supplements you are getting all the nutrients we know about plus you are probably getting all the nutrients we do not yet know about as well.
These nutritional supplements are not "cures for cancer". Rather, in a time when the food available in grocery stores is demonstrably deficient in nutritional value, these supplements are needed by everyone whether sick or healthy in order to provide the nutritional basis for good health.
Many of the popular vitamin tablets are not well absorbed by the body. The people who wash out port-a-potties report finding many vitamin tablets. A complex biological molecule can be assembled in at least two ways, each being the mirror image of the other. Most natural vitamin molecular structures rotate in a dextro-rotary motion, which means that they turn polarized light in a right-handed direction. All amino acids except glycine have a laevo-rotary action inside the molecule, which means that they turn polarized light in a left-handed direction. Laetrile is laevo-rotary. Artificial vitamins are generally half one way and half the other, meaning that they are half nutrient and half toxic waste. It is better to eat all natural foods and food supplements.
